Like most college women, I joined a sorority for the new friends I would meet and the lifelong relationships I would form. But my experience with my sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, was different from that of many sorority women. During my year and a half as an initiated and active sister within my chapter, my status rapidly changed from new member to Executive Board Secretary to Chapter President to an alumna.
